At least 29 people were shot and three were killed over the weekend, and gunfire injured more than a dozen people in the wee hours both Saturday and Sunday.
As the weekend came to an end, two men were shot when someone started firing “indiscriminately” into a large crowd of people in the busy Uptown neighborhood.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m. the shooter, a man, was at the northeast corner of Broadway and Wilson Avenue and fired at least five shots “indiscriminately” south toward a currency exchange, where a large crowd of at least 30 people had gathered, witnesses said.
