The Washington Post Ruins the White House’s Monday

Some interesting numbers in the latest Washington Post–ABC News poll:

28 percent “strongly disapprove” of President Obama’s performance, by far the most in any Post poll this year. The previous high was 22 percent on June 21. His overall disapproval is 37 percent, also well above the previous high of 31 percent last month.
The Post notes that Obama’s approval on health care is at 49 percent, a new low. It’s also only 52–46 on the economy, 43–49 percent on the deficit, and only 52–42 percent on unemployment.
Asked which is more important, 55 percent say “avoiding a big increase in the federal deficit,” while only 40 percent say “increasing federal spending to improve the economy.”
Respondents split 35 percent yes/61 percent no on a second stimulus.

UPDATE: Change: In the poll, 8 percent say they’re better off since Obama became president, 27 percent say “not as well off,” and 64 percent say “about the same.”
