The Campaign Spot

Understatement

Obama, in his victory speech: “Yes, there have been hurt feelings on both sides. Yes, both sides want their candidate to win very badly.”

Indeed, as Instapundit would say.
Marc Ambinder notes: “Nearly six in ten Obama supporters in Indiana say they would be dissatisfied if Clinton were the nominee — that’s (I believe) the high percentage of Obama supporters who have ever said that. In both IN and NC, two thirds of Clinton supporters say they’d be dissatisfied if Obama were the nominee — I believe that’s the highest number recorded for that question, too.”
He also notes the percentage of Clinton voters who say they’d choose McCain over Obama in a general election is approaching 40 percent in Indiana.
UPDATE: Hmmm. During the course of a seven-minute conversation with Cam Edwards, Obama’s lead in North Carolina shrunk from 20 percent to 16 percent.
ANOTHER UPDATE: 9:46 p.m. Eastern, Obama’s lead shrinks down to 14 percent, 56 percent to 42 percent.
YET ANOTHER UPDATE: Nearly three hours after the polls close, no results from any precincts in Lake County which includes Gary, Indiana, a likely Obama stronghold. How convenient.
