That Other Republican Rising Star Named Sarah Makes a Decision

Some days, the NRSC’s loss is the NRCC’s gain. Sarah Steelman, once described as “Sarah Palin with an economics degree” is expected to decline a run for Senate in Missouri and run for the House of Representatives, for Rep. Roy Blunt’s seat. (Blunt is running for Senate.)

If Steelman is the rising star that her fans say she is, then that House perch will be a good way to get a more prominent role in the GOP and shape its economic policies. The Cook Partisan Voting Index for Blunt’s district is R+17, suggesting a very safe seat.
