I don’t know if this will change many minds — polls seem to indicate a certain persistent naïveté among the public about the scale of the deficit problem and the entitlement reforms necessary to address it — but the NRCC has put together a good web ad showcasing how endlessly President Obama has talked about the need to bring down the deficit . . . and then not done so:
