Looking Beyond McDonnell In Virginia…

Over on the home page, I have a look at what to expect on Election Night in Virginia, beyond the governor’s race.

After I finished the article, one of my guys looked at the latest Richmond Times-Dispatch poll – where Republicans lead, but with fairly high levels of undecided voters remaining, and concludes, “If I a Democrat trying to generate some optimism, I would say that lots of voters are having second thoughts after really focusing on and thinking about their choices. But, for any of the Democrats to win with the current poll breakdown, more than 75 percent of undecideds would have to break to the Democrat and that is unlikely. The only one who might — emphasis on ‘might’ — be a bit concerned is Bolling.  Voters may be looking to balance a GOP blowout with balance somewhere.”
