This Kirk Doesn’t Believe in the No-Win Scenario, Either

Hours after Illinois Democrat Lisa Madigan says she’s not running for the Senate in 2010, there are reports that Republican Mark Kirk is making it official.

One of my readers mentioned that “conservatives (the few left, that is) really, really have it in for Kirk over the cap & trade vote. He has been roasted by talk radio both in Chicago and Downstate and has been backpedaling on this vote as hard and fast as he can.  My brother says he and the conservatives he hangs around with are so [angry] that if no one runs against Kirk in the primary next year they are emphatic about sitting the race out.”

Presuming that no better, more conservative but equally electable candidate jumps into the race, I would just add, “Take that, face! See how you like it without a nose!,” a message brought to you by Americans United to Ensure Roland Burris Cannot Engrave “Elected to U.S. Senate” on His Mausoleum.
