ABC calls John McCain their “buzzmaker of the week.” While Petraeus’ testimony and discussion of the surge put him front and center since Monday, note the interesting beginning to his words to Good Morning America this morning: “Could I just mention, I was the greatest critic of the war for the first four years… It is succeeding now, as I expected it would… We’ve got a lot of work to do, but we’ve made a lot of progress.”
To add weight to the “greatest critic of the war” claim, the McCain camp put together a nifty web-timeline citing his comments calling for additional troops going back to August 2003.
