The Campaign Spot

I Guess This Debate Works, Since These Two Are Competing For the Same Voters

Two of the candidates for New York’s special election race are participating in a debate right now: Democrat Bill Owens and Republican Dede Scozzafava began a half-hour ago at SUNY Plattsburgh’s E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium. So far, judging from Tweeted updates, the discussion between the liberal Democrat and the liberal Republican has been (surprise!)  full of agreement, focusing mostly on local issues.

All three, including Conservative Doug Hoffman, will participate in a debate tomorrow; his campaign said “scheduling conflicts” kept him away from this one.
