I had been debating how much attention to pay to the memo from a Hillary campaign staffer to skip Iowa. It doesn’t seem like much more than a staffer throwing out an idea. My guess is, every campaign has at least considered the idea with the constantly-shifting primary schedule.
Some Iowans will be offended and pledge vengeance for the insult, but in the end, almost all of the candidates will keep at least some resources in Iowa, just because they don’t want to be at 1 or 2 percent on the night of the first contest.
