The Campaign Spot

Finally, a House Candidate Who’s Tanned, Rested, and Ready

A few more Republicans are making their House bids official. Tom Marino, a former U.S. Attorney, is running in Pennsylvania’s 10th district.

In New York,

Christopher Nixon Cox is running for Congress. The 30 year-old is President Richard Nixon’s grandson and will announce his candidacy for the state’s First Congressional district, on Long Island by the end of the week.

I suspect he’s tanned, rested, and ready.

Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, another Republican is testing the waters against Rep. William Delahunt:

Jeffrey Perry has his hat in hand but it will be a week before he decides whether to throw it into the ring. Perry, a four-term Republican state representative from Sandwich, said during an interview yesterday that he contacted community, business and political leaders over the weekend to gauge interest in his candidacy for the 10th Congressional District seat held by U.S. Rep. William Delahunt, D-Mass.
