Aspiring House Democrats Running Away From the Health-Care Bill

Democratic leaders assured the rank-and-file that once the health-care bill passed, the American people would learn to love it. You know, like an arranged marriage.

But some Democrats running for Congress either didn’t get the memo or are ignoring it:

[Tennessee Democrat State Sen. Roy] Herron cited the health care bill – which he said he would not have voted for “in that form” – as an example of an area where cost control would be a challenge.

“I know what the Congressional Budget Office said, that over a period of time it would actually lower the deficits, but I – quite frankly, I’m not fully persuaded that Congress will do the things necessary to make that happen,” he said.

Herron keeps talking about jobs, as if that were the primary concern of the electorate or something.
