Two alternative energy companies are hoping to exhibit some of the change that President-elect Barack Obama has addressed during his campaign, in full view of his swearing in: wind turbines.
Mariah Power, based in Reno, Nev., and Southwest Windpower, based in Flagstaff, Ariz., have installed wind turbines at the U.S. Botanic Garden, near the U.S. Capitol grounds, that are contributing wind power to the D.C. area’s power grid.
