Planet Gore

A Taxpayer-funded Tin Ear

Here’s a rather odd — and, it certainly seems, poorly thought out — staff-wide e-mail circulating at the EPA, from someone whose electronic signature reads “Frank Princiotta, Director, Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division”:

Colleagues,

You might be interested in listening to three of my original songs with environmental themes on EPA’s Year of Science web page http://epa.gov/yearofscience/songs.htm

They are:
-Creatures (the day creatures revolted against humankind)
-The Day the Mountains Cried (the ravages of mountaintop coal mining)
-Mankind (given our propensity for environmental damage and war, what is our destiny?)

I hope you enjoy.

Frank
