That’s the question asked by the Copenhagen Post as it reported on Lomborg’s announcement that the Obama administration had requested the Danish researcher’s latest papers on climate, environmental issues, and setting policy priorities. If it had been an American institute, I’d be concerned more about possible harassment than cheered about possible influence, but maybe Lomborg is on to something:
He said the inquiry from the White House showed that courageous politicians like Obama were interested in new research, even if the results go against their political stances.
Maybe. But I’ve been accused of excessive optimism on more than one occasion.
