If you haven’t seen it yet, check out Deroy Murdock’s “The Audacity of Nope” over on the homepage. Barack Obama has repositioned himself as willing to compromise on offshore oil exploration, but it doesn’t seem as if he’s particularly interested in oil companies actually finding oil.
Deroy observes that Obama has tried legislatively to prevent latest-technology geological surveys of the Outer Continental Shelf, forcing black-gold bloodhounds to use surveys from the 1970s instead — yet another Jimmy Carter plank in Obama’s energy platform.
