For the Congressional ban on offshore drilling to continue, it will need reauthorization before it expires some five weeks before Election Day. Who’s going to take the point on the Democratic side for argung that the ban will continue, one must wonder? Or will they try to slip it into an omnibus bill? Either way, the GOP should fight it tooth and nail.
