Will the Feds Insist on Quotas?

Hans Bader points to disturbing evidence that the federal government may insist that universities use quotas to limit the number of men studying in STEM fields.

If this happens, will science improve? Or will politicians just pat themselves on the back for “fixing” something that isn’t broken? And how will those women who would have been accepted on their merits feel when people start thinking that they’re only there to meet a quota?
