The University of California, San Diego, has unveiled its new Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center, which, the school boasts, is the largest LGBT center at any public institution of higher education in the nation.
School official Shaun Travers said that the new center demonstrates Chancellor Marye Anne Fox’s commitment to a “diverse, open…” (do I even need to continue with the quote?).
Oh, and before I forget, UCSD also offers $1,000 scholarships for LGBT students. I’m eager to call UCSD’s press office and ask how scholarship recipients sufficiently prove their commitment to homosexual/bisexual/transgendered conduct.
