‘Students Borrow More Than Ever For College’

That’s the title of an article in the September 3 Wall Street Journal.

The writer ends with the sad tale of a woman who graduated last year with a JD from the University of Pittsburgh law school — and $181,000 in school loan debt to repay. Recently she found a job clerking in a small law office. Getting those pricey educational credentials will take her an awful long time to pay off. I would hazard a guess that she could have learned her current job just about as well when she was 19 and had no degrees and no debts.
