Self-Parody

Over at FIRE’s blog, there’s a quizzical post up about a brewing controversy at Harvard Law. A student group there recently performed a parody play that some have deemed “offensive,” provoking the usual chorus of campus wailing and recrimination. Among other things, some aggrieved students have suggested that future parodies should include an “opt-out clause,” so that nobody is satirized without his or her permission.
