After being suspended for publishing the now-infamous Danish cartoons of Muhammad, the editor of the student newspaper at the University of Illinois has been fired. The paper’s board of directors voted unanimously, declaring that the editor “violated Daily Illini policies about thoughtful discussion of and preparation for the publication of inflammatory material.”
