The SDS — Back in Force on College Campuses

My friend Bob Luebke of the Civitas Institute in Raleigh takes a look at Students for a Democratic Society. It’s almost comical how the group says it’s for free speech, but then admits that it isn’t really for free speech, only that speech it approves of. It’s the same message as Herbert Marcuse’s back in the 1960s — speech the left regards as “intolerant” just can’t be tolerated and must be shouted down.

A society that allows authoritarian goons to decide what ideas may be heard is in deep trouble.
