George Nash on the Founding Generation’s Education

George H. Nash, historian and scholar, appears in this week’s Independence Day-themed episode of InsideAcademia.tv. Nash highlights the role of the Rev. John Witherspoon at Princeton and his “moral philosophy” curriculum that would define education during and after the founding.

Specifically, Nash delves into what the curriculum was like, how it worked, and how it was effectual in developing the virtuous and moral statesman of the day. Nash delivered a similar talk to students in Princeton last month with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
