Former president Donald Trump on Friday announced that he had come to an agreement with Fox News on the terms of a debate against Vice President Kamala Harris to be held in Pennsylvania on September 4.

“I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th,” the former president wrote in a post on Truth Social. “The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest.”

Trump said Fox anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will moderate the debate and that the rules will be similar to those of the fateful June 27 face-off against President Joe Biden, with one notable exception: According to Trump, the Fox debate will be held in front of “A FULL ARENA AUDIENCE.”

The lawsuit the former president mentioned in his post, filed in March, came after ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos said on the air that Trump had been found liable for raping E. Jean Carroll. While Trump had been found liable for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll, the jury did not find him liable on the charge of rape. However, the judge in the case later stated that the ruling referred to rape “as many people commonly understand the word.”

Harris and her campaign have yet to announce whether the vice president will participate in the Fox News debate, but she has previously indicated that she would like to appear in a debate against Trump before voters cast their ballots in November.

“Well Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage,” Harris said at a rally in Atlanta on Tuesday. “Because, as the saying goes, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”
