Judge Orders Rudy Giuliani to Give Up Valuable Possessions and Manhattan Apartment

A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that Rudy Giuliani must give up all his valuable possessions and Manhattan apartment to two Georgia election workers he defamed.

Judge Lewis Linman ordered Ruby Freman and Shaye Moss to receive Giuliani’s interest in the property within seven days in a receivership they will control. The former New York City mayor owes the two roughly $150 million.

Among the valuables is a collection of watches given to him by European leaders following 9/11, a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey, and a 1980 Mercedes formerly owned by Lauren Bacall. Giuliani’s television, some furniture, and jewelry must also be turned over. The judge has yet to rule over the fate of his New York Yankees World Series rings.

“The Court finds no good cause to impose additional limits on the time or manner of the liquidation or prosecution of any other item or interest on the list,” Judge Linman ruled.

“The only asset that Defendant seeks to protect from sale that comes close to being exempt under Article 52 is Defendant’s grandfather’s watch. The watch may be distinctive to Defendant as an item of sentimental value, but it is not distinctive to the law.”

In 2023, Giuliani listed his Upper East Side apartment for $6.5 million before reducing his ask to $5.1 million earlier this fall. A judge dismissed his bankruptcy declaration this year as a way of circumventing payment.

“This outcome should send a powerful message that there is a price to pay for those who choose to intentionally spread disinformation,” said Aaron Nathan, a lawyer representing the mother-daughter pair.

Giuliani has already been stripped of his law license after serving as the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan due to his 2020 election claims. He faces separate criminal charges in Arizona and Georgia concerning his attempts to overturn the election. In September 2023, former President Donald Trump showed his support by hosting a fundraiser for the former mayor at his New Jersey golf club to assist in his costly legal battles.

A hearing is scheduled for next Monday regarding the status of Giuliani’s Palm Beach condo, which he may be forced to cut ties with as well.

The misleading clip of their purported misconduct in counting ballots was sensationalized into a symbol of election fraud in 2020, leading to a series of suits that seemingly vindicate their innocence, most recently with the Gateway Pundit and One America News Network.
