Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a six-figure donation to the National Republican Congressional Committee last month — his largest-known donation to date, according to a new report.

Musk, who is the richest person in the world, donated $289,100 to the NRCC in August, Politico reported. The funds are earmarked for the NRCC’s convention and headquarters activities, according to the report.

Musk, who has endorsed former president Donald Trump, has previously donated to both Democrats and Republicans, but his contribution to the NRCC is his most substantial donation to either party to date.

Republicans are hoping to hold on to their majority in the House come November.

The NRCC, however, still fell behind its Democratic counterpart in fundraising last month: The NRCC brought in $9.7 million compared to Democrats’ $22.2 million.

Musk is also expected to have donated a significant amount to the pro-Trump America PAC, which will report its financials for the third quarter on October 15, according to the report. Super PACs can accept unlimited amounts from individual donors.
