Top ABC News Blotter Stories of the Year

Brain Ross and the Blotter have posted their most popular stories of the year.  When looking at the list, however, it’s interesting that nothing really came of any of the stories:

1.  Victim: Gang-Rape Cover-Up by U.S., Halliburton/KBR
Status:  Pending
2.  Secret Document: U.S. Fears Terror ‘Spectacular’ Planned
Status:  Tigers have killed more Americans in America than terrorists this year
3.  Exclusive: Suicide Bomb Teams Sent to U.S., Europe
Status:  See above
4.  D.C. Madam Affair Unfolds
Status:  Nada
5.  Blackwater Shooting Draws Ire
Status:  Pending, yet ABC’s video, in my opinion, helps defend the Blackwater case.
6.  Al Qaeda Web Ad Threatens ‘Big Surprise’
Status:  Surprise!  The tiger jihad has begun.
7.  Exclusive: U.K. Terror Plot — How the Bombs Failed
Status:  Was this really an exclusive only to the Blotter?
8.  CIA Rushing Resources to Bin Laden Hunt
Status:  One of the comments on the story says it best:  “Why in the world would the media even report information such as this?? OBL and Zawahiri read the news the same as we do, and this only aids them in their run and hide tactics. I second Steve’s comment of “shame on you, ABC news!”
Congratulations ABC News and here’s to a 2008 that’s as “in the mix” as 2007!
