The New York Times op-ed columnists are going to become part of TimesSelect, a special subscription-only part of NYTimes.com. But for those of you who don’t want to pay the $50 a year for the pleasure of reading Maureen Dowd on your laptop, fear not. I’ll continue to track Dowd, Krugman, Rich and company through a new feature on the Media Blog called TimesReject.
TimesReject will keep an eye on these factually-challenged NYT columnists so you don’t have to. But I draw the line at keeping up with the “video interviews and Web-only postings” that TimesSelect subscribers will be privy to. If they are updated with the same breakneck speed with which public editor Byron Calame updates his “Web Journal“, there’s just no way I’ll be able to keep up.
