As usual, RedState is the place to go for news and activism on the defeat of the The Online Freedom Of Speech Act, which would have exempted blogs from the McCain-Feingold legislation. I’m surprised that the House killed the bill, considering House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was laid low by a prosecutor abusing campaign-finance statutes. Don’t any of those members who voted against the bill realize that it could happen to them just as easily? There are so many campaign-finance laws, I’m convinced a determined prosecutor could pin a violation on any legislator. They’re signing their own indictments.
