Report: MSNBC ‘In Talks’ with Alec Baldwin

Via CBS News:

Alec Baldwin could soon be making a return to TV — but not for another acting gig.

Reports say the “30 Rock” star is in talks to host a weekly program on cable news network MSNBC.

“It’s a real possibility,” a source close to the situation told Deadline, but noted there is no deal yet in place and talks could still fall through.

According to Mediaite, which first reported the news, the show would air Fridays at 10 p.m.

Baldwin finished his seven-season run as Jack Donaghy on “30 Rock” earlier this year, and is nominated for the role again at next month’s Emmy Awards. He inked a two-year deal with NBC on the eve of the show’s finale, per The Hollywood Reporter, and was reportedly considered as a possible addition to the network’s late-night lineup when Jimmy Fallon was named the new host of “The Tonight Show.”

I’d rather watch Baldwin than, say, Larry O’Donnell. The rest here.
