Nasser Addin Ash-Sha’er, the Education Minister in the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority (he’s the guy responsible for an education system that incites Palestinian kids to kill Jews) has told the leading Palestinian Ma’an news agency that he never criticized suicide bombers in an interview with Robert Novak in the Washington Post.
Novak’s interview, published on Monday, quoted Ash-Sha’er as saying that “previous attempts at peace were ruined by suicide bombers. Now, we look forward to a sustained peace.”
But Ma’an reported yesterday that Ash-Sha’er claimed his remarks were “taken absolutely out of the real context.” He said, “Every people in the world has the right of self defense, and nobody can incriminate his own history or his own right to self defense.”
