Keller: Just Leave Me Alone

New York Times executive editor Bill Keller sent a memo to his staff that shows just how exasperated the man is from the Judith Miller-Scooter Libby drama. He essentially tells all his “armchair critics” like me to back off, to which I have two objections:
1. I’ve written most of my posts this week from a dining-table chair.
2. Too bad, but we won’t back off. The New York Times editorial board called down this absurd investigation, its reporter refused to cooperate, and its editors and reporters spun the paper’s coverage to portray the White House as a gang of organized criminals. And now the editor wants critics to just back off? Sorry Bill, but like you said yourself, we’re curious. Did Miller cover up for Libby? Or is this investigation like so many the Times ed board cheers: just another way for Dems to criminalize their political opponents?
UPDATE: Speaking of which, this looks like an excellent new blog to turn the tables on Dems who have suddenly decided they are the party of ethical purity.
