An AP Reporter Scorned

Looks like Biden did have press in the room with him when he met the Georgian President:

MILWAUKEE, WI – Miffed over being left out of a meeting this morning between Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and Democratic VP nominee Joe Biden, the local Associated Press reporter wrote a long story comparing the lack of transparency in the Biden camp to that of GOP VP nominee Sarah Palin’s campaign – which recently tried to bar reporters from her meetings with world leaders in New York.
Dinesh Ramde complained that Biden “didn’t let reporters in as the pair posed for photographers at the beginning of the session” – likening the move to McCain’s attempt to shield Palin from prying questions.
Trouble is, there WAS a reporter present at the beginning of the meeting – one who provided a readout for the AP and other news outlets an hour before Ramde’s story was published. What’s more, Biden solicited questions from those in the room at that time.
