If I call them Brown Shirts, I’m exaggerating their threat. If I call them Black Shirts or Red Shirts I’m at risk of confusing people. If I call them Green Shirts or Silver Shirts I invite total befuddlement. But surely the street thugs of ACORN are some kind of shirts.
