Last Friday’s story on the collapse of the CLASS Act sent me back to Why Obamacare is Wrong for America, by Grace-Marie Turner, James C. Capretta, Thomas P. Miller, and Robert E. Moffit. (Capretta is an EPPC colleague of mine.) Not only did the book carefully explain and clearly predict the problems with the CLASS Act, but it reminded me what a tremendous resource this little paperback is for understanding Obamacare as a whole.
To some extent, Obamacare has fallen out of the news. That’s a shame, because the law really does have immense implications for our economy, for our society, and for our very lives. A law of thousands of pages requires a book’s worth of explanation, sad to say. Why Obamacare is wrong for America does an excellent job of laying out the devastating implications of this new law for our country. You need this readable guide to understand your personal stake in the law as well. Were every American to read this book, Obama’s defeat in the next election would be assured.
