‘Where in the world is George W. Bush?’

I play an annual game with some of my fellow cynical, conservative Washington-area friends: Where in the world will George W. Bush will be when the March for Life takes place in Washington? (He is always somewhere else — I can offer no tangible evidence that this is by design.)

In any case, I’ve figured out the answer for this year based on a tip in Congressional Quarterly:

President Bush’s State of the Union speech next year has been shifted from Jan. 22 to Jan. 28, according to leadership aides in the House and the Senate…A White House spokeswoman said the president would be traveling in the Middle East on the original date for the address.

This year’s march is on Jan. 22.
