What’s Up with McDonald’s?

I love McDonald’s. I think it’s a great American story and institution. I’ve never been disappointed when eating there — until now. Over the weekend, I made a stop at a drive-thru and ordered two large fries and a large shake, and it cost $17. Maybe as an artifact of the move to a paper container rather than the iconic red cardboard, the orders of fries felt smaller — more like mediums than larges. In short, for the first time in my life, I left a McDonald’s feeling as though I’d been ripped off.
