A reader tries to make what’s New Old again:
As a Jew, this is my favorite time of the year: lots of beautifully lit homes lining up streets in my neighborhood (helps celebrate our seasonal holiday – festival of lights), lots of bargains in stores, everyone is in reasonably good mood and I have no pressure to do anything while watching my Christian friends thrashing about trying to accomplish an absolutely impossible number of tasks in an incredibly short period of time. While I am not advocating conversion, the only frantic preparations for celebration of any jewish holiday involve cooking enormous amount of delicious food and subsequent intense gym work outs to reduce any effect consumption of such has on the body!
