That Didn’t Last Long

Well, that was short-lived:

In my estimation, that ends the push to get rid of Biden. There was, indeed, a real freakout today. But it’s over. Since this morning’s peak, Biden has been backed by Hakeem Jeffries, by Nancy Pelosi, and now by Barack Obama; the campaign has said it’s going nowhere; and the press has decided that Biden’s ability to read from a TelePrompTer at 1pm ET renders what we all saw last night moot. A decapitation campaign would have to have been quick. This wasn’t. Perhaps something else will happen prior to the convention that will inspire a second-round, but, for now, Biden’s staying in — and he’s doing so with the blessing of the party’s heavy hitters.
