A testy Anthony Weiner mocked a female British reporter who attempted to interview him yesterday evening while he was canvassing for votes in Harlem. “It’s hard to take you seriously,” Weiner told the ITV reporter before mimicking her accent.
“I just have a feeling I’ve like stepped into a Monty Python bit,” he told her when she asked if anything might stop his candidacy.
He concluded the interview by volunteering to do an English weather forecast. “It’s going to be raining, cloudy, and grey, so do what you can guys . . . keep a stiff upper lip.”
Weiner has fallen to fourth place in the New York City mayoral race, according to the latest polling.
