Geraghty’s piece on religious conservative candidates in the early primaries is must-read. But let me pull out something trivial from it: 

Alan Keyes — a fringe candidate everywhere else, symbolized by his willingness to jump into a mosh pit to the music of Rage Against the Machine…

I was unaware of this. I suddenly have more respect for Keyes than I did previously.

But that’s a low bar.
