Voters Remain Opposed to Obamacare

A new poll shows that support for repealing and replacing Obamacare remains high, including among independent voters.

Forty-nine percent of registered voters want the health-care law repealed and replaced, according to a poll commissioned by Resurgent Republic.  Among independent voters, 54 percent favor repeal and replace.

The poll also showed that some of the specific Republican health-care proposals are popular among voters.  Seventy percent thought people should be able to buy insurance across state lines. Fifty-three percent think that unnecessary medical lawsuits increase medical costs, and 52 percent oppose permitting any taxpayer dollars to fund abortions.
