During the election, many pro-lifers worried that President Trump would keep an arm’s length distance from the movement, I think that fear is now completely assuaged. From the New York Times story:
Vice President Mike Pence will speak on Friday to a gathering of antiabortion activists on the National Mall, a sign of the movement’s new and growing authority in a government now dominated by Republicans.
The organizers for the event, the March for Life, had extended invitations to President Trump and Mr. Pence. A senior White House official confirmed that Mr. Pence would address the marchers.
A “gathering?” Are 500,000 protesting people a mere “gathering?” Was the Women’s March a “gathering?”
The Times’ blatant bias aside, this sure is going to be a vivid presidency.
