The Executive Order

It represents the correct position, which is holding parents and children together pending any prosecutions or asylum claims, but like David, I wonder how plausible it is. It’s hard to believe that the Ninth Circuit is going to do Trump any favors. It’d be great if Congress gave the administration the necessary authorities and resources, but that seems unlikely. And perhaps much greater urgency in the search for make-shift detention space will create more options soon, but the logistics of this kind of operation is much easier said than done.
