The New York Times story today on the readiness of Iraqi units was, shall we say, true, but inaccurate. It is true that only 3 out of roughly 100 Iraqi units are at Level 1 of readiness, on the scale of 1 to 4, with 1 the highest. But most are at 2 or 3, meaning that they are in the fight, even if not operating at optimal levels. This is progress.
