Trouble at Home for Elizabeth Warren

She’s polling third among Democratic presidential candidates in . . . her home state of Massachusetts. David Byler goes into the challenges facing her candidacy, although I think he underemphasizes how badly the DNA test hurt her. Among other things, it made Democratic insiders less interested in helping her campaign. (In January, I asked a Democratic member of Congress about her candidacy and got this response: The whole way she’s handled her ancestry is just a symbol of her bad judgment. . . . [It] made me think this will be a long and not necessarily a productive campaign.)
