I noted last week how good J. D. Vance has been in hostile interviews. I’d be remiss if I didn’t also note what a stand-out performer Tom Cotton is. He never gets cornered, invariably is better informed than anyone else, rejects all false premises, and doesn’t leave a Sunday-show table without having put points on the board. At a time when bombast and amateurism reign in parts of the GOP, Cotton shows there is no substitute for knowing what you’re doing and what you’re talking about.
