No one is sure why the Supreme Court is taking so long to decide whether to grant cert on the Heller case, pertaining to the D.C. gun ban. We might get an announcement on Tuesday.
A talented young lawyer suggested to me at the Federalist Society dinner that perhaps they have voted to deny cert, but one of the justices might be writing a dissent from that decision. In that case, the ban will fall. It’s useless to speculate on the Court’s inner workings, but I’m open to suggestions from Corner-readers as to what sort of gun I should purchase.
