The View Still Thinks Conservative Women Are Stupid

Sunny Hostin’s latest target is Brittany Mahomes, Taylor Swift’s close friend and wife of Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The scoop, courtesy of the Daily Mail, is that Brittany Mahomes, Taylor Swift’s close friend and fellow NFL WAG, is reconsidering her still-closeted support for former president Donald Trump after he declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” online. However, the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback may feel even more conflicted now that The View has crudely insulted her intelligence and painted her as a racist. If she was on the fence before, the mob outcry to her minimal engagement with MAGA-sympathetic content on social media should awaken her to the brutal intolerance of the leftist media and Hollywood.

“The Swift effect will speak to more women about the true character of Donald Trump and turn them away,” Sunny Hostin said on the show on Wednesday.

Speaking about Mahomes, Hostin snarked: “It just seems to me that since she is in an interracial marriage, she should have known that to support a racist is problematic. Her children are biracial, and her family is one of the families in the ’70s who could not have lived in any of Donald Trump’s buildings. It just seems to me that she’s just not that politically savvy, or maybe she’s just not read in.”

For Hostin to suggest that Mahomes has compromised her marriage and harbors quiet bigotry toward her spouse, who is black, because she may or may not support Trump is vile. It also shows the remarkable disdain the Left has for prominent women who diverge, no matter how slightly, from Democratic Party orthodoxy.

We’ve seen this pattern repeatedly from Hostin. She will suspend her progressive feminism and treat as a traitor any woman who dares not fit into her identity politics. For example, neglecting the fact that WNBA player Caitlin Clark is a prodigy who broke records in college and continues to do so professionally, Hostin in June said the rookie is popular because of “pretty privilege.”

In September 2022, Hostin suggested that former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley is a self-hating member of a minority who uses “Nikki” as her first name to hide her Indian heritage, implying that she’s throwing her people under the bus by assimilating.

“There are some of us that can be chameleons and decide not to embrace our ethnicities so that we can pass,” Hostin said on The View. Hostin was born Asunción Cummings and goes by the nickname “Sunny.”

Beyond scorning conservative women, Hostin generally has patronized people of color who lean Republican. In the same week she made her comments on Haley, Hostin said that Republican Latinos “vote against their own self-interest,” which apparently she has the magical authority to decide.

Mahomes has every right to be turned off after Trump’s ostentatious reaction to Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris. But in the eyes of The View and other pretentious left-wing pundits and celebrities, the damage of her Trump affiliation has been done. She’s forever stuck in their cruel and unfair framing.
